About the REC Foundation

A little more than a century ago, one of the founders of the community conceived the Downtown City Park as the centerpiece of Paso Robles. This beautiful city block dedicated to activity, assembly, and attractiveness personified our founders' value of quality leisure experiences. Its placement and dedication proved critical to the establishment and development of our city's commitment to quality places, programs and spaces.

The Paso Robles Downtown City Park offers a fantastic play experience for children. The REC Foundation is a proud supporter of this family-friendly park located in our downtown square. Close to local restaurants and movie theatre.

The Teen Center is a free facility featuring video games, music, pool table, small cafe and much more. Open to Paso Robles teens ages 6th through 12th grade.

Uptown Park Entrance

Centennial Pool is open during summer for swim lessons and public swim. Centennial Park is also the home base of the Recreation Service offices.

The newly updated Uptown Park includes a family picnic area, playground, and a community garden. Check out the free public workshops held at the community garden!
