Rec Foundation Projects

Since February 2000, the Foundation has given back over half a million dollars in amenities and programs to the Paso Robles community. The Foundation established and currently oversees an endowment of $1.3 million for improvements at Barney Schwartz Park.

  • $1 Million Dale Schwartz Memorial Endowment Fund for Barney Schwartz Park. Improvements include a group picnic BBQ, softball and soccer field shade structures, habitat tree interpretive exhibit, security lighting, parking lot paving, trail mile markers, walkway improvements, scoreboard renovation, and park sign renovation

  • Centennial Park Plaza Renovation

  • Municipal Pool Complex Bleachers, Shade Structures and Defibrillators

  • Coat rack & Kitchen amenities at Senior Center

  • Computers, Craft table, snack counter and desks for George Stephan Center

  • Sherwood Park Playground

  • Sherwood Dog Park
